Military Exercises Aggravate Korean Situation
Pyongyang, June 28 (KCNA) -- Frequent military exercises of the United States and south Korea have rendered the situation all the more strained on the Korean peninsula.

South Korea staged a military drill against the DPRK, codenamed Thaeguk, from late May to June 1. The exercise involved army, navy and air force chiefs of staff for the first time in the history of military maneuvers in south Korea.

The United States brought more than ten F-15Es and over 400 troops to south Korea to launch a joint exercise with south Korea on June 1.

In particular, the Lee Myung Bak regime of south Korea slandered the dignity of the DPRK leadership, extremely deteriorating the relations with the north.

The Korean peninsula is now in a touch-and-go situation due to escalating preparations of the United States and south Korea to unleash another war on the peninsula.

With the situation getting acute, the DPRK army and people are steadily increasing national power to prepare for a possible war.
