Anti-"government" Struggle in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 26 (KCNA) -- The Banking Union under the south Korean Federation of Trade Unions held a mammoth rally at the plaza of the Seoul City Office on June 22 to denounce the puppet government for bringing the banking business to catastrophe and posing a grave threat to the life of workers.

Attending it were more than 20,000 unionists serving in the finance field including banks across south Korea.

Ri Yong Duk, chairman of the federation, Kim Mun Ho, chairman of the Banking Union, Ri Jong Hui, representative of the Democratic Labor Party, and others spoke at the rally.

They charged that from the very day of its seizure of power the Lee Myung Bak group did not hesitate to name its aides to major posts at its own will in a bid to have monopoly over the financial circle.

They declared that they would stage a general strike against the "government" bringing the banking business to ruin and forcing the submission on workers.

They stated that they would surely punish the dictatorial forces in the next year's elections.
