Anniversary of Inter-Korean Joint Declaration Marked Abroad
Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- Meetings were held in Denmark and Finland and a reading session in Democratic Congo between June 5 and 14 to mark the 11th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, said successes unimaginable in the past were made in the inter-Korean relations since the historic declaration was adopted thanks to general secretary Kim Jong Il.

The Lee Myung Bak conservative forces, however, pushed the north-south relations to a collapse after coming to power, he said, adding this is a perfidy to the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration signed by the north and the south as well as an anti-reunification criminal act.

Antti Sika Aho, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, referring to the significance of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration, expressed his will to strengthen the solidarity movement to support the cause of the Korean people for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country in the future, too.

Kanga Ngerien Jerom, chairman of the Group for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea of Democratic Congo, read out President Kim Il Sung's famous work "10-Point Programme of the Great Unity of the Whole Nation for the Reunification of the Country".

A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting in Denmark.
