Passenger Plane Crash in Russia Kills 96

| Moscow, June 21 (KCNA) -- A passenger plane crashed near Petrozavodsk, the Republic of Kareliaa, Russia on June 20, killing 52 passengers and 44 crewmen and heavily wounding 8. Tu-134 bound from Moscow to Petrozavodsk made an emergency landing about 1 km from airstrip, leaving its fuselage smashed up. Russian President Dmitri Medvedev expressed consolation to the families of the dead and instructed to give help to the victims. |
