Strict Investigation into Environment Pollution Case Urged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- The People's Measure Council for Probe into Defoliant Case in south Korea called a press conference outside the U.S. military base in Ryongsan, Seoul, on June 16 in demand of a thoroughgoing investigation into the case of environment pollution by the U.S. forces present in south Korea.

That day the joint investigation team, consisting of the south Korean authorities and the U.S. forces, announced the deceptive results of investigation into the environment pollution at the U.S. military base in Waegwan.

Referring to this fact, speakers at the conference said that the results are untrustworthy as they did not meet the demand of the people for survey into soil.

Location of where defoliant was buried should be made before anything else in order to probe the truth about the case, they urged.

The U.S. forces' burial of defoliant is posing a grave threat to the health and life of the south Korean people, they said, stressing that the truth about the case should be probed without fail and those responsible for this crime should face a due punishment.
