Foreign Countries Mark Anniversary of Start of Work at WPK
Pyongyang, June 22 (KCNA) -- Meetings took place in South Africa and Switzerland and a seminar in India on June 10 and 11. They were held to mark the 47th anniversary of general secretary Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the 11th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

The chairperson of the Mahlambandlophy, Pretoria City, Branch of the African National Congress of South Africa said the single-minded unity of the leader, the party and the masses has grown stronger and the drive to build a thriving nation has been successfully pushed forward in the DPRK under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The June 15 North-South Joint Declaration was adopted 11 years ago thanks to noble patriotism and broad magnanimity of Kim Jong Il, the chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee noted, adding this was a historic event which provided a landmark for Korea's reunification.

The chairperson of the Indian Working Women Society for Study of the Juche Philosophy praised Kim Jong Il for glorifying the Juche idea as the eternal guiding idea in the era of independence.

Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the events in Switzerland and India.
