DPRK Important Days Marked Abroad
Pyongyang, June 21 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries between June 1 and 7 to mark the 47th anniversary of general secretary Kim Jong Il's start of work at the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea and the 11th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

They included lectures in Brazil and France, film show in Peru and photo exhibition in Romania.

Displayed in the exhibition hall were photos on the immortal feats of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and photos showing the Korean people in the efforts to build a thriving nation.

The Korean films shown included "Pyongyang Today".

The financial secretary of the Democratic Labor Party of Brazil said that the achievements made by the Korean people give fresh hope to the progressive political parties and peoples of the world struggling for socialism.

The vice-chairman of the Metal Trade Union in Sao Paulo of Brazil said that there are many countries and political parties in the world but such party is rare as the WPK which has enjoyed absolute support and trust of the people while taking responsibility for the destiny of the working masses and looking after them with sincerity.

The international secretary of the C.C., the French Revolutionary Communist League praised the undying feats of Kim Jong Il who has developed the WPK into an invincible party and firmly defended the sovereignty and dignity of the country with his unique Songun policy.
