British Organizations Support Inter-Korean Declaration
Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- British organizations supported the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration in statements on the 11th anniversary of the declaration.

The British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association in a statement on June 11 said the joint declaration opened a new era of the movement for Korea's reunification.

It went on:

The three principles for national reunification advanced by President Kim Il Sung has been applied to the joint declaration.

The declaration was provided thanks to the strong will, clairvoyant wisdom and energetic activities of general secretary Kim Jong Il who devotes his all to the reunification of Korea.

Events unimaginable in the past have taken place one after another between the north and the south of Korea since the adoption of the declaration.

The Lee Myung Bak clique, however, has totally denied the declaration.

It is pushing the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the worst phase while intensifying anti-DPRK moves.

The declaration clarifies the realistic way of realizing Korea's reunification, free from foreign forces' interference.

The U.S. is the very one which is blocking Korea's reunification after dividing the Korean Peninsula.

We strongly demand the U.S. immediately withdraw its aggression forces from south Korea and refrain from obstructing Korea's reunification and the Lee clique discontinue the moves against the DPRK and reunification and sincerely implement the joint declaration.

The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in a joint statement on June 13 referred to the significance of the adoption of the joint declaration and reaffirmed full support for it.
