S. Korean Authorities' Suppression of Overseas Compatriots Organization Slammed
Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) -- The Federation of South Koreans in Japan for Democracy and Unification issued a statement on June 6 denouncing the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors for its unreasonable suppression of an overseas compatriots organization.

The Lee regime disallowed the participation of the chairman of the organization in the event of compatriots in Europe marking the 31st anniversary of the Kwangju Popular Uprising in May, the statement recalled.

Its crackdown on the organization has become more frequent since its appearance. For instance, two years ago agents of the Intelligence Service took the chairman to an interrogation room upon his arrival at Inchon Airport to take part in the meeting marking the April 19 Popular Uprising and questioned him on charges of the violation of the "National Security Law."

Intolerable is such suppression perpetrated by the regime after labeling the organization an "anti-state organization", it noted.

What the organization has done is its opposition to the wrong policy of the present south Korean authorities, it said, declaring it would struggle against its unreasonable crackdown.
