Anniversary of Start of Work at WPK Observed in Laos and Bangladesh
Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) -- Newspapers of Laos and Bangladesh carried special write-ups on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of his start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

A Lao paper edited articles accompanied with portraits of leader Kim Jong Il from May 16 to 31.

The paper in an article praised Kim Jong Il for performing immortal exploits by strengthening and developing the WPK into invincible vanguard ranks which achieved the unity in thinking and purpose and revolutionary solidarity, centering around President Kim Il Sung.

The paper recalled that Kim Jong Il has ushered in a new era of building a thriving socialist nation under the uplifted banner of Songun and made an immortal contribution to the human cause of independence.

The Bangladeshi paper Blits on June 10 carried articles entitled "Kim Jong Il, June 19, 1964," etc. accompanied with his portrait and photographs on his revolutionary activities.

The paper said in an article titled "The DPRK, Single-minded Unity and Kim Jong Il" said thanks to Kim Jong Il the DPRK's single-minded unity has been consolidated in every way.

Noting that under his leadership changes of the century are taking place in the DPRK, the paper stressed that no force on earth can match socialist Korea where all servicepersons and people are united close around him.
