Koreans' Favorite Broth in Summer
Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- Chogyethang, a cool chicken broth mixed with mung-bean jelly, is one of the Korean people's favorite dishes in summer.

The broth is a good appetizer for those who lost their appetite for sultry weather.

Jelly is made with mung beans first. Then a clean soup is made by boiling chicken and seasoned with soy sauce, salt, mustard and vinegar.

A bowl is filled with mung-bean jelly, broiled cucumber, chicken, fried beef balls, broiled sea cucumber and mushroom and pear, garnished with sliced boiled egg and pine nuts. And cool soup is poured into the bowl.

The broth is considered one of the special dishes for holidays and entertainment of guests in the country.
