Russian Paper Warns of Imminent Danger of Nuclear War on Korean Peninsula
Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- The Russian paper Vremya Perementeve on June 8 in an article titled "Situation on Korean Peninsula Deteriorates" accused the Lee Myung Bak puppet clique of its moves against the DPRK.

An imminent danger of war comes not from any dispute or shelling, but the war may involve nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula, warned the article.

It referred to the provocations perpetrated by the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors as evidenced by its acts of hurting the dignity of the leadership of the DPRK, frequently repeating the groundless call for someone's dismantlement of nukes and "apology".

The DPRK demonstrated the validity of its cause by solemnly declaring that it would launch a nationwide all-out offensive to put an end to the Lee Myung Bak puppet clique's moves to escalate the confrontation with it, the article stressed.

Holding that in case the confrontation between the north and the south of Korea is allowed to go on, it will develop into a total war to involve various countries, the paper noted: What matters is that Lee Myung Bak does not realize that the situation on the Korean Peninsula is leading to the brink of war owing to his irresponsible act.
