End to Unequal Relations between S. Korea and US Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- A memorial picture exhibition was held in Seoul on June 8 on the lapse of 9 years since two schoolgirls Sin Hyo Sun and Sim Mi Son were brutally killed by an armored car of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces present in south Korea.

Attending the opening ceremony of the exhibition were members of civic and public organizations including the Association for Supporting Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy, the Solidarity for Progress, the General Federation of National Artists and the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification and lawmakers from opposition parties.

Speakers said at the ceremony that they could not repress resentment at the hair-raising atrocity GIs committed by driving their armored car over the two schoolgirls, killing them in cold blood on a roadside, on June 13, 2002.

But GI criminals escaped punishment under the unequal south Korea-U.S. SOFA, they recalled, deploring that such humiliating relations still remain unchanged.

The people are becoming increasingly vocal in their demand for the revision of the SOFA, they noted.

They stressed the need to terminate the unequal relations with the U.S. and for the U.S. forces to make full apology and reparation for all their crimes in south Korea.
