Cultural Relics in Mt. Kuwol
Pyongyang, June 11 (KCNA) -- Many cultural relics and remains are well preserved in Mt. Kuwol, one of Korea's celebrated mountains.

Among them are a pavilion where Tangun, founder of Ancient Korea, studied and a site where he practised archery.

Jonggok Temple draws many tourists as it commands an excellent view.

On Sahwang Peak are remains of an old wall and a ruined celadon kiln belonging to the period of Koryo kingdom.

Woljong Temple, made up of Myongbu Shrine, Suwol Hall and Manse Pavilion, nestles at the foot of Asa Peak.

Mt. Kuwol also has relics showing patriotic people's struggle against feudal rulers and fight against Japanese invaders in the late period of the Ri Dynasty.

The famous mountain is one of the country's major tourist resorts.
