Anniversary of June 15 North-South Joint Declaration Observed in Foreign Countries
Pyongyang, June 10 (KCNA) -- Newspapers of Cambodia, Egypt and Bangladesh carried special write-ups and articles on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

The June 2 issue of the Cambodian newspaper People carried a photo showing General Secretary Kim Jong Il's revolutionary activities and an article.

The newspaper said in the article that his transparent idea of national independence is fully reflected in the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration, adding that the cause of Korea's reunification is sure to be accomplished thanks to the firm independent stand taken by him.

The Egyptian newspaper Al-Misaiya on June 3 said in an article that more than a decade has passed since the publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration, the idea of "By our nation itself", its main spirit, serves as an invincible banner for Korea's reunification.

The article stressed that Korea's reunification is a matter to be settled in the idea and wishes of the Korean nation responsible for it and, in other words, it is a matter of right to national self-determination.

It held that there is no other way but to implement the joint declaration in order to achieve Korea's reunification.

The Bangladeshi newspaper Blits on June 1 in an article introduced the fact that President Kim Il Sung founded the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland and achieved the historic cause of national liberation by the concerted efforts of all Koreans.

The article stressed that the President's history of great national unity has been successfully carried forward by Kim Jong Il.
