Mexicans Hail Kim Jong Il's Successful Visit to China
Pyongyang, June 10 (KCNA) -- Events were held in Mexico between June 2 and 4 in celebration of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's successful unofficial visit to the People's Republic of China.

There were a meeting by the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, a lecture by the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament and a seminar by the Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea.

Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the C.C., People's Socialist Party of Mexico, and other speakers said that Kim Jong Il's recent visit for steady development of the DPRK-China friendship was successfully carried out amid the special care and cordial hospitality of the Chinese party and government.

The visit is a clear proof showing that he attaches great importance to the friendship between the DPRK and China provided by their leaders of elder generation, they stressed.

Ramon Jimenez Lopez, president of the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism, said in the lecture that the visit is of weighty significance in further developing the traditional DPRK-China friendship.

Kim Jong Il is the prominent leader of the present times steering the world politics and the development of international relations, the most experienced elder statesman and the peerlessly great man giving a powerful impetus to the victorious advance of the human cause of independence, the lecturer said.

Juan Campos Vega, chairman of the Mexican Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea, said at the seminar that the world political and social circles are highly lauding the historical significance of Kim Jong Il's recent China visit.

The feats performed by him in external activities for developing the DPRK-China friendly relations in the new century will remain forever, the chairman said.
