The book contains 42 works published by General Secretary Kim Jong Il from April Juche 68 (1979) to March Juche 71 (1982), including speeches, talks and conclusions.

In his work "On the Juche Idea" he expounded profound ideas and theories through which he systematized and developed in depth the immortal Juche idea in an integral manner.

In "On Thoroughly Establishing the System of Party Leadership," "On Further Improving Party Ideological Work" and other works he gave lucid answers to theoretical and practical problems concerning party organizational and ideological work and its leadership art.

The book also contains works dealing with the Juche-oriented military idea of the Workers' Party of Korea, indicating tasks to be consistently carried out for building revolutionary armed forces and increasing defence capability and principles and ways for implementing the party's economic policy.

Such works as "For the Development of Juche-Oriented Literature and Art" deal with principled issues arising in developing the Juche-oriented literature and arts and improving the cultural and emotional life of people.

Also contained in the book are works that give overall answers to theoretical and practical issues arising in different fields, including the issues of arming the young people with the spirit of uninterrupted revolution, improving the standard of people's living and accomplishing the cause of national reunification and global independence.
