Pyongyang, June 6 (KCNA) -- The Mirim Revolutionary Site in Pyongyang has records of activities of President Kim Il Sung, General Secretary Kim Jong Il and anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.

Standing in the site is a monument to their activities.

On June 7, Juche 36 (1947), the President came to the Mirim Plain and joined peasants in rice-transplanting.

That day, he had a talk with peasants. The talk was published later under the title "Let Us Finish Rice-transplanting in Time and in a Qualitative Way".

In the talk, he underscored the need to transplant rice as required by technical regulations and organize emulation to inspire all to do their quotas in rice-transplanting.

He also called for introducing an irrigation system through the River Taedong, expanding and manuring rice fields and repartitioning patches into fields of standardized shape.

Afterwards, he called at the plain several times and gave detailed instructions as to selection and cultivation of rice strains and other farm work.

In June 1948, Kim Jong Il visited the plain together with Kim Jong Suk and helped peasants with rice-transplanting.
