Korean People's Struggle for Reunification Supported Abroad
Pyongyang, June 5 (KCNA) -- Madav Kumar Nepal, leader of the Nepal Communist Party (United Marxist-Leninist) who is chairman of the Nepali Committee for Promotion of Reunification of Korea, issued a statement on June 1 on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.

The statement extended full support and solidarity to the Korean people in the struggle to reunify the country at an early date under the banner of the historic June 15 joint declaration, the October 4 declaration and the 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation.

The Nepali people express expectation and belief that all the Koreans in the north, south and overseas would reunify the country independently and peacefully free from foreign interference in the idea of "By the Korean nation itself" and thus ensure the eternal prosperity of the nation and durable peace on the Korean Peninsula, the statement said.

Meanwhile, the Mexican newspaper Unidad Nacional and the Bangladeshi newspaper Blits carried special write-ups on the same occasion.
