S. Korean Workers Demand Vital Rights
Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- The Ulsan headquarters of the Confederation of Trade Unions and the Federation of Trade Unions in south Korea jointly called a press conference outside the Ulsan City Office on June 1, at which they urged the authorities to raise wages of workers.

The workers are now paid wages lower than the elementary living cost, the organizations said, adding that they would direct every effort to the struggle for wage hike.

Meanwhile, the Federation of Trade Unions held a ceremony for declaring the action to get the Law on Trade Union totally revised outside the "National Assembly" on the same day.
