Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- Civic and public organizations of south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on May 31 demanding the abolition of the "Security Law", a fascist law.

At the press conference speakers said that the UN Human Rights Council is pushing forward the publication of a report on the survey of the serious human rights situation in south Korea.

The report contains a recommendation calling for immediately abolishing the evil law as it is a breach of the international convention to seriously restrict not only national unity, exchange and cooperation and activities for reunification but the progressive movement by invoking the SL, they held, and continued:

Such human rights abuses as forcible search, arrest and the imposition of imprisonment upon people by force of the SL have become all the more pronounced under the present "government."

They urged the authorities to abolish the evil law as demanded by the international community.
