Minju Joson Blasts Japanese Reactionaries' Reckless Military Moves
Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- The Defense Ministry of Japan made a final decision recently to host the take-off and landing exercise of carrier-based planes on Mage Island in Kagoshima Prefecture after their transfer from the U.S. forces Atsugi base to the Iwakuni base under a realignment plan of the U.S. forces in Japan.

Meanwhile, the ministry decided to let units of fighters of Air "Self-Defense Force" take part in the joint exercises with U.S. forces to be held in Alaska State.

Minju Joson Wednesday observes in a signed commentary in this regard:

The Japanese reactionaries are getting frantic with the moves to tighten the relations of military cooperation with the U.S. despite the unprecedented natural disasters and nuclear calamity. This reveals itself how persistent and keen they are on sycophancy towards the U.S. and wild ambition for militarist overseas aggression.

It is the ulterior motive of the Japanese reactionaries to turn Japan into a military power and launch militarist overseas aggression even at the sacrifice of the interests of its people as early as possible.

They consider it as a key link in the chain efforts for launching overseas aggression to boost the military cooperation with the U.S. and hasten the military integration between the Japan "Self-Defense Forces" and the U.S. forces in Japan and round off the capability for joint military action. In other words, it is their sinister intention to realize their dream of emerging again a leader of Asia backed by the U.S. at any cost.

Japan is the only country in the world which begs for maintaining and strengthening the alliance even sacrificing the vital interests of the country and its people, although it has alliance with the U.S.

The Japanese reactionaries calculate that they can lead their country to emerge the leader of Asia in return for kowtowing to the U.S. and cooperating with it. But this is a daydream.

Any attempt on the part of Japan to benefit by clinging to the coattails of the U.S. pursuing wars is bound to invite disasters.
