Environment of Waegwan US Military Base in S. Korea Seriously Polluted

| Pyongyang, May 29 (KCNA) -- Environment has been seriously polluted in the U.S. military base in Waegwan, Chilgok County, North Kyongsang Province, south Korean MBC reported. According to the analysis into underground water and soil in the base, carcinogenic substances more than 30 times the allowed level were detected. Inhabitants of several hundred households around the base are reported to use this underground water for drinking and farming at present. |
