Retraction of S. Korean Authorities' Measures to Escalate Confrontation
Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- Members of religious, civic and public organizations and lawmakers from opposition parties in south Korea held a press conference at the "National Assembly" on May 24 at which they demanded an immediate retraction of the unreasonable measures for totally blocking exchange between the north and the south, south Korean KBS reported.

The "May 24 step" taken by the authorities in the wake of the "Cheonan" warship case is a major factor that brought the inter-Korean relations to collapse and pushed the situation on the Korean Peninsula back to the state of the Cold War, they noted, and continued:

This step hit hard the south Korean enterprises.

The "government" should positively opt for improving the inter-Korean relations by beginning with the retraction of the "May 24 step", the bankrupt policy.
