Probe into U.S. Forces' Crime Urged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Internet newspaper Jaju Minbo in an article on May 22 demanded that a probe be made into the defoliant-related crime of the U.S. troops, which has seriously threatened and taken lives of south Koreans.

The situation is getting more serious as an investigation into the case of defoliant burial by the U.S. forces is intensified, the article said, adding:

Inhabitants, who worked in the U.S. Waegwan military base, testified to the fact that in 1973 the U.S. forces buried drums containing defoliant brought from Vietnam and disposed of radioactive waste in this base.

An old man, who worked as an interpreter for the U.S. 7th armored division during the last June 25 war, attested that he heard the story about the massive spread of defoliant from U.S. officers at that time.

The U.S. troops are habitual criminals. Therefore, it is necessary to thoroughly survey not only the Waegwan base but also all other U.S. military bases in south Korea with a fact-finding group selected by the people.

Perfect settlement of this case should be made to clearly show the U.S. troops what type of nation the Koreans are. If not, the U.S. troops will undoubtedly bury poisonous materials in their military bases on this land as much as they please.

That is why all the people should get ready to launch the second torchlight resistance for life-and-death struggle against the U.S. forces.
