Anti-"Government" Struggle of Workers in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- Unionists of 113 worksites under the south Korean Confederation of Trade Union formed an action group and staged a struggle in Seoul in denunciation of the puppet authorities' unpopular labor policy. The group held a rally outside the Seoul district employment agency on May 19. Speakers at the rally stressed that the serious capital-worker conflict, unjust layoff and repression of trade unions at worksites are ascribable to the labor policy of the present "government". After the rally the workers staged a demonstration. Meanwhile Ro U Jong, vice-chairman of the Confederation, Kim Hyong U, vice-chairman of the Metal Industrial Trade Union, and other 4 persons staged on behalf of the action group a demonstration in front of the "National Assembly". Earlier on May 18 the group held a rally to protest the unpopular rule of the puppet authorities. |
