The Wonhwa Co-op Farm, Phyongwon County, South Phyongan Province and the Chongsan Co-op Farm, Kangso District took the lead. Following them, all other farms across the country except those in the northern alpine areas started rice transplantation in time.

Those in South and North Phyongan provinces are giving definite precedence to leveling, watering and harrowing rice fields while operating rice transplanting machines in full capacity to attain actual results.

South Hwanghae Province has already transplanted rice seedlings in more than 10 000 hectares.

Rice transplantation is also going full swing ahead in Haeju City and Anak, Jaeryong and Sinchon counties.

The co-op farms in cities and counties in North Hwanghae Province including Sariwon City and Yonthan and Pongsan counties are also registering satisfactory results everyday.

Those in Pyongyang and Nampho cities made a good start taking into account the state of rice seedlings and weather conditions.

Those along the east coast including Wonsan, Hamhung, Kimchaek, Chonnae, Hamju and Hwaedae are also working hard.
