Argentina Urges Reform of UN Security Council

| Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- Argentine Foreign Minister Hector Timerman on Monday called for reforming the UN Security Council to allow a broader representation of countries. He made the appeal at a UN meeting on global governance and reform of the council. Timerman said that it would be natural for Latin America and the Caribbean region as a whole to select its candidates based on regional consensus and then promote them at the UN General Assembly. |
