The center has achieved successes in researches for putting on a scientific basis all farm work, including selection of crops and soil, rice-planting, manuring and harvesting.

Its scientists, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Hydro-meteorological Service, made a survey of farming and weather conditions over the past three decades and built a database necessary for ensuring stable crop yields in intermediary and mountainous areas.

They also developed software for forecasting crop growth.

The system based on the software is also applicable to fruit, vegetable and industrial crops farming and sericulture.
