Pyongyang, May 12 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il provided field guidance to the Kujang Fish Farm.

After being briefed on the farm before a huge map showing its panoramic view, he went round various places of the fish farm including a hatching room to learn in detail about fish breeding there.

Noting that the Kujang Fish Farm is the best place for fish breeding as it abounds in water resources and quality of water is good, he stressed that the fish farm ensuring profitability and equipped with cutting-edge facilities is the one desired by the WPK and capable of bringing the people substantial benefits.

He set forth tasks to serve as guidelines for further developing the nation's fish farming.

Fish breeding is a very economic production field as it ensures high profitability, while spending less money, and the shortest cut to providing people with fresh fish in all seasons, he said.

Noting that the country has very favorable conditions for breeding fish in a big way as it abounds in rivers, lakes, springs and hot springs, he called for continuously and energetically doing fish farming as a mass movement.

He underlined the need to find out all right places for fish farming while making a good use of springs and hot springs and thus build more fish farms to make sure that every place where water is available teems with fish.

He earnestly called on all fields and units to rapidly boost the fish production so that they can translate the lifetime ardent wish of President Kim Il Sung to provide the people with a sufficient quantity of fish into a reality as early as possible.

He was accompanied by Ri Yong Ho, Kim Kyong Hui, Jang Song Thaek, Kim Jong Gak, Kim Phyong Hae, U Tong Chuk and Ri Myong Su, senior officials of the party and armed forces organs, Hyon Chol Hae, department director of the NDC, and Ri Man Gon, chief secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the WPK.
