US and S. Korean Authorities' War Confab Blasted
Pyongyang, May 10 (KCNA) -- Assistant secretaries of Defense and Foreign Affairs-level meeting of the U.S. and south Korea was held recently. It was reported that there was an agreement at the meeting on steadily developing the U.S.-south Korea "alliance" and it examined and appreciated the measure for maintaining the "military security posture" and the conferees agreed to boost the "cooperation for boosting the deterrent against the north" in the future, too.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a signed commentary in this regard: It goes without saying that the recent confab was aimed at keeping the U.S. forces in south Korea for an indefinite period and driving the puppet group into confrontation against the DPRK with an increased zeal.

The so-called "security" and "deterrent" vociferously touted by the U.S. together with the south Korean puppet group are nothing but sophism intended to justify their moves for a war of aggression against the DPRK, the commentary notes, and goes on:

Facts go to prove that the "moves to boost the deterrent against the north" on the lips of the U.S. and south Korean puppet group are no more than undisguised outbursts calling for escalating the military confrontation with the DPRK, increasing the tension and stepping up the moves for a war of aggression against the DPRK. In a word their recent huddle is a grave criminal act of driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula to an extreme phase.

The situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula is so tense that a war may break out any moment. This situation requires the army and people of the DPRK to get fully prepared to decisively frustrate the enemies' reckless campaign for confrontation with the DPRK. There is a limit to the patience on the part of the DPRK. Should the U.S. in collusion with the south Korean puppet group dares make an adventurous provocation against the DPRK, it will entail unpredictably catastrophic consequences.

The U.S. had better behave itself.
