Fijian PM Calls for Unity and Cooperation of Neighboring Countries

Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- The Fijian prime minister, addressing a recent international meeting, called on Pacific island countries to work together to collectively address issues of common interest.

Outside forces are resorting to intervention to destroy unity of regional countries, he said. Solidarity would only come about when there is equal and fair treatment for all countries, without the interference of outside parties, he stressed.

Cooperation is essential for development, he said, calling upon regional countries to jointly strive for the common interests.
