There were a ceremony for awarding the youth May 4 medal of China and a joint performance of university students in Beijing on Wednesday.

Organizations of the Communist Youth League of China across the country arranged meetings and round-table talks and officials of the League in Beijing and Shanghai went to schools and organs at all levels and the countryside to introduce the feats of the Communist Party of China.

League organizations in Chongqing Municipality, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region organized concerts and visits to centers for education in patriotism.

In Shichuan Province there was a poem recitation of university students recollecting the course traversed by the League under the leadership of the CPC.

Events including oath-taking meeting for admission to the League took place in Anhui and Hainan provinces.
