S. Korea Accused of Blocking Inter-Korean Economic Cooperation
Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) -- South Korean businessmen bitterly accused the "government" of blocking inter-Korean economic cooperation at the "National Assembly" on April 29.

Kim Yong Il, advisor to the Consultative Council for South-North Trade and Investment of the Trade Association of south Korea, deplored that they are living the lowest life, forsaken by the "government". He went on:

A man in authority who conceived "no nuke, opening and 3000 dollars" openly told me not to conduct economic cooperation.

Businessmen who participated in economic cooperation with the north worked hard to keep business afloat though they found themselves in such miserable plight as to greet each other every morning "How is your wife? Didn't your wife run away?" The Ministry of Unification dashed even that hope.

"We label the Ministry of Unification a lion in the other world," he said with indignation.

The session of the NA that day was also attended by the authorities of the ministry but the businessmen in despair were more bitterly angered as they seemed not to listen to their appeal.

This indicates that the resentment at the authorities has reached its height in the south Korean society as they have not paid any heed to the call of the public at home and abroad for dialogue and cooperation, keen to realize the daydream of "unifying the systems."
