Settlement of Issue of Registration Fee Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 5 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Federation of University Students in the 21st Century held a press conference in Seoul on Sunday demanding the puppet authorities immediately settle the issue of university registration fee.

Speakers said at the press conference that most students are now subject to temporary absence from school and extra-mural labor due to the high registration fee.

But the present regime is keen on committing violence against students and arresting them for opposing registration fee hike, turning its face away from such situation, they charged.

They demanded the regime fulfil its commitment to half the registration fee as early as possible.

At the end of the conference, the chairmen of the general student councils of various universities had their hair close-cut in protest against the puppet authorities.

Then students staged a demonstration in demand of an interview with the chief executive.
