Worker Saved from Jaws of Death
Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- Some time ago, a worker of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex who had been in a critical condition after getting a burn on 75 percent of his body recovered his health and returned to his job.

When Pak Pong Phil was taken to a hospital attached to the complex, in a state of coma, in last September, nobody thought it would be possible to bring him back to life.

Urgent consultations were held several times to take steps for his treatment. Necrosed parts were removed from his body and skin transplantations conducted successfully over ten times.

More than sixty doctors and nurseries donated their blood and skin.

Competent medical scientists of Pyongyang Medical College of Kim Il Sung University and doctors of the North Hwanghae Provincial People's Hospital rendered assistance to the treatment.

Koryo medicines and finger-pressure therapy suitable for the patient's physical condition were also applied to the treatment.

Leaving the hospital, Pak expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Workers' Party of Korea, which established a popular health system in the country.
