Exhibition of Metal Relics Goes on
Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- An exhibition of metal relics is going on at the Korean Central History Museum.

On show at the museum are more than 120 pieces of metal relics belonging to the periods from Ancient Korea to the Ri Dynasty (1392-1910). They are weapons, Buddhist images, decorations and personal ornaments.

The weapons include lute-shaped dagger, sword, arrow and arrowhead.

In particular, an arrow with a fire wick made in the period of Koryo kingdom (918-1392) and cannon made in the period of the Ri Dynasty attract visitors' interest.

The Buddhist images date back to the periods of Koguryo (277 B.C.-668), Paekje (late 1st century B.C.-660), Silla, Koryo and Ri Dynasty.

Among the decorations and personal ornaments are bronze censer, gold earring, dragon-patterned bronze mirror and silver-decorated knife.

Metal type with a long history in Korea is also displayed.

A model of cavalcade discovered in Kosan County, Kangwon Province, consists of 54 iron horses and 4 bronze horses.

The exhibition continues till the end of May.
