German President on Relations with DPRK
Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- The development of the relations between Germany and the DPRK is in full line with the wellbeing of the two peoples. I wish the Korean people many successes in their efforts to improve the standard of people's living and building a thriving nation. German President Christian Wulff said this when meeting with DPRK Ambassador to his country Hong Chang Il on April 29 who paid a farewell call on him.

The bilateral relations between the two countries have maintained the trend of steady development since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the president said, referring to the exchange in cultural and sports fields.

The stability on the Korean Peninsula is very important for global peace, he said, hoping that military conflicts would be checked by the joint efforts of the north and the south and all the issues be settled in a peaceful way through dialogue and negotiations.
