Nepal Organizations Condemn S. Korea's Inhuman Acts
Pyongyang, May 1 (KCNA) -- Nine Nepalese organizations issued a joint statement on April 26 in support of the fact-finding statement issued by the C.C., the Red Cross Society of the DPRK. They included the Committee for Supporting the Reunification of Korea, the Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Committee, the Journalist Association, the Study Forum for Self-Reliance and the Association for Supporting the Songun Politics.

The statement condemned the thrice-cursed inhuman acts perpetrated by the south Korean authorities against the DPRK citizens.

It expressed concern about the tensions rising on the Korean Peninsula due to the inhuman acts committed by the south authorities.

It bitterly condemned the south authorities for seizing a boat and inhabitants of the DPRK, unreasonably detaining them and conducting an operation to force them to "defect" to the south and finally not sending some of them back to the north.

These are treacherous and anti-reunification acts aimed to scuttle the north-south dialogue, chill the atmosphere of improving the north-south relations and stoke confrontation between fellow countrymen, the statement said.

The south Korean authorities should opt for national reconciliation and unity, not trying to find a way out in making such provocations, it added.
