Korean Children Enjoy Great Benefits from Law
Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- On April 29, Juche 65 (1976), the Law on the Nursing and Upbringing of Children was adopted in the DPRK at the Sixth Session of the Fifth Supreme People Assembly.

Ri Yong Hui, head of Pyongyang September 15 Weekly Nursery, told KCNA that thanks to the law the children are nursed and brought up at the state expense.

The DPRK government spares no investment in nurturing children, regarding it as a principle of its activities to preferentially provide them with best things, she said, adding:

Even in the period of the Arduous March, Forced March, when the country was in hard time, the government never failed to provide children with food, bean milk and fruits on a regular basis.

It gives priority to the production of amusement and teaching tools necessary for children's intellectual development.

Medical check-up and inoculation systems are working well in the country to promote their health.
