Minju Joson on Songun Politics
Pyongyang, April 28 (KCNA) -- The Songun politics pursued by General Secretary Kim Jong Il is an all-powerful treasured sword for settling all the issues arising in achieving the cause of national reunification, says Minju Joson Thursday in a bylined article.

It is thanks to the Songun politics that the Korean People's Army has grown to be a matchless army capable of wiping out any formidable enemy at one blow, the DPRK has turned into an impregnable fortress and there has emerged a strong driving force for the revolution with the KPA as its core, the article notes, and goes on:

The June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, the landmarks common to the nation which were set up on the road of national reunification, would be unthinkable without the Songun politics.

It serves as a powerful motive force which helps strengthen the driving force for national reunification.

The KPA and the Korean people are playing a pivotal role in the nationwide movement for national reunification while bringing about world-startling events one after another in the drive to build a thriving nation by displaying the might of the single-minded unity around Kim Jong Il.

The pro-reunification patriotic forces of south Korea are growing stronger thanks to the great attraction of the Songun politics.

Many organizations for the reunification movement appeared as it became a trend to study and support the Songun politics which helps defend the dignity of the nation and pave the road for independent reunification. The above-said organizations are waging actions against the U.S. and the conservative group in a mass and organized manner as they have intensified their moves against reunification and for war, pushing the inter-Korean relations to the worst phase.

The KPA and the Korean people will always advance under the uplifted banner of Songun and thus build a prospering reunified country on this land, concludes the article.
