Ports in Rason City to Be Updated
Pyongyang, April 27 (KCNA) -- Rason City in the northern part of the DPRK has natural and geographical conditions favorable for marine transport.

There are Rajin, Sonbong and Ungsang Ports in the city.

Rajin Port is surrounded by the Rajin peninsula and Socho and Taecho Islets to ensure security of vessels. The water of the port is deep and unfrozen in winter.

The port deals with various kinds of cargo, including equipment, processed fish and foodstuffs.

Kim Yong Nam, vice-director of the Economic Cooperation Department of the Rason City People's Committee, told KCNA that the Rajin, Sonbong and Ungsang Ports would be updated to sharply increase the cargo traffic.
