Reckless Remarks of S. Korean Minister of Unification Slammed
Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- Hyon In Thaek, addressing a recent "international academic symposium", let loose sheer sophism that south Korea has so far worked hard for dialogue to preserve peace, talking about "uncertain and unstable security situation" on the Korean Peninsula. He went the lengths of asserting that even if inter-Korean dialogue is held, "it can hardly achieve results" unless someone has "an honest attitude" toward the "Cheonan" warship case and "denuclearization."

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard: What traitor Hyon uttered is nothing but the last-ditch effort of the puppet forces to stem the trend of the situation toward dialogue and get rid of their poor position.

The south Korean authorities are now under the pressure to take an option as their treacherous "policy toward the north" has proved to be totally bankrupt, the commentary notes, and goes on:

Various circles of south Korea and world public are warmly hailing and supporting the DPRK's important proposal for improving the inter-Korean relations and tiding over the grave situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula through dialogue and negotiations. They are becoming increasingly vocal urging the south Korean authorities to make a switchover in their "policy toward the north" and opt for improving the relations at an early date. Much upset by this, the conservative group is stirring up an atmosphere of confrontation, putting up a "responsible step" from someone as a pre-condition for dialogue. This is aimed to shun dialogue and escape from isolation at home and abroad.

It is none other than Hyon and other confrontation maniacs of south Korea who make the future of the inter-Korean relations dismal.

Hyon should be ousted from the political arena as early as possible.
