Floral Baskets Laid before Statues of Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Servicepersons of the Korean People's Army, people from all walks of life and school youth and children laid floral baskets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 79th birthday of the KPA.

Servicepersons of the KPA, people from all walks of life and school youth and children in Pyongyang visited the statue of the President on Mansu Hill and paid tribute to him.

Seen standing before the statue was a floral basket sent by Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the KPA.

Laid before the statue were floral baskets in the name of the party, armed forces and power organs, social organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, institutions in the fields of science, education, culture and arts, public health and media, factories and enterprises and schools and flowers.

The visitors paid homage to the President in humble reverence.

Floral baskets were placed before his statues in different parts of Pyongyang.

The servicepersons, working people and school youth and children in different parts of the country visited the statues of the President in their residential areas to place floral baskets and flowers and pay tribute to him.
