Quakes Jolt Australia and New Zealand

| Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- North Queensland of Australia was hit by a 5.4-magnitude earthquake on April 16. The quake struck at about 30 km southeast of Townsville of Queensland, at a depth of 10 km below the surface. On the same day, a 5.3-magnitude aftershock struck New Zealand South Island city of Christchurch. The quake was centered 20 km southeast of Christchurch at a depth of 11 km. |
