Pyongyang Cultural Exhibition
Pyongyang, April 19 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Cultural Exhibition, located in Munsu Street, is one of the tourist attractions in the capital of the DPRK.

Highlighted in the main hall of the exhibition is a large picture of President Kim Il Sung being with General Secretary Kim Jong Il on Mt. Paektu.

The exhibition houses more than 20,000 volumes of over 1,200 books, including famous works of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, literature and albums.

Among them are books written by foreigners about the great men and books and pictorials translated in eight languages, including Chinese, Russian, French and English.

Included in the exhibits are photos showing great feats performed by Kim Jong Il last year in guiding the building of a thriving nation and other photos reflecting the Korean people's effort to make signal achievements in production and construction before greeting the 100th birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung next year.

Fine art pieces about the history, culture and nature of Korea are also on show.

Curator Ri Phil Bok told KCNA that more than 45,000 foreigners and overseas Koreans visited the exhibition since it was opened in September Juche 87 (1998).
