Event Held in China
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Round-table talks were held in China on Tuesday to commemorate the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

Attending the event were officials of the China Association for International Friendly Contact and the Beijing Association for International Friendly Contact, families of those related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and veterans of the Chinese People's Volunteers.

Present on invitation were the DPRK ambassador to China and a friendly delegation of the DPRK led by the vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries who doubles vice-chairman of the C.C., the DPRK-China Friendship Association.

The participants watched Korean film "The Tower of the Juche Idea".

Speeches were made by Li Xiaohua, vice-president of the China Association for International Friendly Contact, and Liu Xiaohua, a family member of those related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, and others.

They recalled with deep emotion the glorious life of Kim Il Sung, praising him as the peerlessly great man recognized by the whole world.

He enjoys deep reverence of the Chinese people for the China-DPRK friendship provided by him with Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and other Chinese revolutionaries of elder generation and for his distinguished contribution to its development, they said.

The revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered and led by him has been creditably carried forward by General Secretary Kim Jong Il, they said, expressing belief that the Korean people would achieve success in their drive to bring about a decisive turn in improving the people's standard of living and building a thriving nation.

They voiced their determination to strive to boost the traditional China-DPRK friendly relations true to the intention of the top leaders of the two countries.
