Kim Jong Il's Songun Politics Praised by British Organizations

| Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea released a joint statement on April 8 on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's election as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK. The statement said that by electing Kim Jong Il chairman of the NDC of the DPRK it has achieved great successes in all fields of the revolution and construction including the Juche-oriented building of national defence and state. The last 18 years were recorded with victories and glory as the DPRK inflicted a shameful defeat upon the U.S. imperialists and their stooges, it said, and continued: The Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il serves as a treasured sword for protecting the DPRK from the imperialists' aggression and upholding its independence. The statement expressed belief that the Korean people would register greater successes in their struggle for building a thriving nation. |
