The recently published white paper "China's National Defence in 2010" made it clear that the Chinese government has consistently asserted the use of the space for peaceful purposes.

It is the most effective way for the international community to adopt a document of international law to prevent the development of the space weapons and arms race in the space through talks, it noted.
