Radioactive Substances Found
Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- Radioactivity monitoring stations throughout the DPRK have detected radioactive particles in the air -- radioactive iodine-131 and cesium-137 apparently from the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant of Japan.

Their density was tested to be about 0.03mBq and 0.04mBq per cubic meter respectively.

The amount of iodine-131 is one two hundred and forty thousandth of the permitted limit. Experts are of the view that it does not cause public health concern.

The stations have strengthened the monitoring of radioactive substances.
